I was downtown last weekend when my car suddenly started having problems. I was at a shop on NW 23rd and the car struggled to start. I finally got it started however it still sounded very strange. I puled out of the parking lot and started driving to find a local auto shop. Suddenly my car temp went to extreme hot in seconds. I knew there was an immediate problem. We got to the auto shop to find they were closed on weekends. Fortunately my friend with my had AAA and had my car towed to Art of Maintenance. They are AAA Certified and boy am I glad that first shop was closed.
Dan’s team quickly diagnosed my problem. The radiator fan was not reconnected after the starter was changed at another mechanic shop (to remain nameless) less than a month ago. Plugged it back in and I was good to go back to the Starlight Parade Festivities.
I have found my future mechanic!
You better believe I went to the nameless mechanic shop to get reimbursed for the diagnostic cost and will be visiting Art of Maintenance this weekend to give them all of my needed repair business.
My ignition switch was almost completely done for in my car. They quickly fixed it for me on short notice (a day and a half) and quoted me about $400 less than another shop in the area. Thank you!
I love this place! Kevin was very up front and explained what all is involved in replacing an engine. They called every time they found something that was better, or wrong and offered me options. They kept me up to date with the progress and even cleaned my truck. They were very patient with me as I tried to make this huge payment with multiple accounts and even stayed after they were closed to go over what to not do, and what to do to maintaine the engine integrity. This shop is a gem. Runs on old school work ethic that is hard to find these days. Team is highly professional and communicative. I needed a quick tire patch. They took my car in same day despite their full and overflowing schedule given the upcoming memorial weekend. Now I can hit the road in time for my birthday trip safely and worry free.
