Had a great experience at Art of Maintenance. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable and accommodated me the same day. They provide you with a report as well when you get your oil change of any other items you may want to address. That being said, they aren’t trying to upsell you on anything which is much appreciated.
You know your car never breaks down on a good day but when my car broke down in Portland these guys helped make a bad day better true professionals they helped Comfort my wife and my dog. we were traveling out of town . We tried other shops in town and no one could take care of us the same day. I have been using this shop for years and have always been really pleased with the service. But last week I had an experience that amazed me. I had an issue with my car, brought it in, the guys did multiple checks and didn’t see anything wrong with it. They didn’t charge me anything, and told me I could come get it. Then a few days later I had another issue, they told me to bring it in right away and looked directly at it. It ended up there was a problem, they said it should be covered under warranty and advised me to call the dealer first. They made me feel super welcome, gave me specific tips and advice on how to speak with the dealer, and even arranged a tow truck to pick my car up. They didn’t charge anything for the time it took in helping me with all this and it really made me feel that they were looking out in my best interest as opposed to making money. It has reinforced once again my trust and commitment to always using this shop!
A big thanks to Kevin and the guys who worked on my son’s Subaru. I’m thrilled that when I send him back to college, he won’t break down on the freeway. Head gaskets are nothing to fool around with, and I appreciate the thoroughness in checking out everything else.

I just moved into the city for grad school and had been shopping around for a mechanic for my 4runner. A quick google search pulled up a few in the neighborhood, and out of the five that I called Art of Maintenance piqued my interest from the first time they picked up the phone. The staff was friendly and respectful; which in my opinion is a great first step in looking for a reliable, trustworthy auto shop. The shop is well organized and clean, I was greeted and checked in quickly. I had a minor repair that needed to be done and they got me in and out of there fast. I plan to go to Art of Maintenance in the future for all my auto needs.
