I have gone to this place a few times in the past, I had interacted with Kevin each time I was there. It was the holiday season and they where a little busy, I needed new breaks and new parts for the engine, originally it was thought that I’d be ready in January 3rd, unfortunately I was to move out of Portland on the 1st so I needed my car. I explained the situation to Kevin who was very professional and transparent, he was able to get things fixed for me sooner so that I’d be able to move out on time. Itd be easy for other people in his position to just throw their hands up and say “it is what it is” but he went the extra mile to as helpful and dexterous as possible, which shows that which shows that Art of Maintenance is committed to helping their customers.

Kevin and team got the job done when promised. Best service I’ve experienced including rides to and from work. The most appreciated surprise is when my car was delivered to me after my second appointment! Thank you for getting the job done when promised! I highly recommend Art of Maintenance to eveyone! Amazing group. Friendly, fast and very fair. I have used Art of Maintenance for two MAJOR repairs and have been very pleased both times. These guys know what they are doing! The first repair (an air conditioning problem) was looked at by three other shops; none could figure it out. These guys had it figured out and repaired in the same day! My second time (just recently) was diagnosed within hours and complete before noon the next day. My husband reviewed the prices of parts & labor and found they were an excellent. The mechanics listen intently (including all my “it makes this noise” sounds) and make sure they understand the problem before starting. I appreciate the attention to detail and will be using and referring to Art of Maintenance.

Kevin and his crew quickly got to the bottom of my non functioning front signals on our Jeep Wrangler. They had to order the part and will install as soon as it is in. Also easy to work remote while using their nice lounge.

These guys are on point! I had a great experience from the time I called in to the time I rolled out. They were totally transparent and not pushy about anything. I was having an issue with a low idle and when I got it back the first time, the problem was still there. I brought it back in and they bumped me to the front of the queue and even did the extra work for FREE! Seriously glad I went to these guys and will be back if I ever need any mechanical help with my car. Ryan and Kevin (and everyone else at AoM) – THANK YOU!!!

3/24/22 update: Thermostat replacement. Quoted over $900. Quote included replacing everything associated with thermostat like housing, sensor, ect. because I didn’t want to pay the $160 diagnostic to find out exactly what part wasn’t working. Did feel taken advantage of and did not leave my vehicle for the repair.

art of maintenance is one of the best auto shops here in Portland Oregon that I’ve ever been to I always get a good job done on my car friendly service very nice workers that work there and my cars are always running good they’re dependable and I just recommend art of maintenance to anyone in the neighborhood or anywhere you come from always look up all the maintenance on Northeast MLK off of ainsworth in Portland Oregon
