I’ve been going to Art of Maintenance for about a year. It’s a nice clean shop and everyone I have talked to there was great. They seem to be honest – haven’t tried to talk me into anything I didn’t need. I haven’t had anything too major done there – oil change, windshield wiper repair, new brakes. So far so good!
I went to them years ago (in ~2008), seeking a second opinion when Midas told me my 17-y-o car was headed for the scrapper. I took the car in and got a call later saying the car was mechanically fine, it just had “a good shake on it.” (It would vibrate all over when I was stopped at a red light.) I drove the car for two more years, then sold it to a friend, who drove it for another two years. Art of Maintenance gave me hope, and helped my car live as long as it possibly could. They were a knowledgable voice of reason and I will always appreciate them for that.
