Frequent Charging
If you find yourself needing to charge your EV more often than usual, it could indicate that the battery’s capacity is declining. This increased frequency often happens as the battery’s ability to hold and maintain a charge decreases over time.
Decreased Range
If you notice that the distance you can travel on a single charge has significantly reduced, it may be a sign that your battery is losing its capacity. Over time, EV batteries degrade and their ability to hold a charge diminishes, leading to reduced range. This is a natural part of battery aging.
Unusual Behavior or Swelling
Physical signs such as swelling, leakage, or unusual smells coming from the battery pack are red flags that could indicate serious problems. Swelling can be a sign of internal damage or thermal issues, which can compromise battery performance and safety.
Battery Management System (BMS) Alerts
Some EVs have advanced Battery Management Systems that can provide detailed information about battery health. If you receive alerts or notifications from the BMS about reduced capacity or other battery issues, it might be time to consider a replacement.

We have used Art of Maintenance for many years with our older cars. They do quick and accurate repairs and service on our vehicles and are help at understanding how to prioritize what work needs to happen when you are on a budget.
Great service verry fast
I can’t say enough amazing things about these guys! I have brought my old s10 pickup to numerous places over the years and this is the ONLY place I will ever go to from here on out. Not only are James, Kevin and the entire team genuinely friendly and professional, they have fixed numerous issues that no one else had been able to diagnose. Not only that but they installed mud flaps and an old bulb for free since it only took them 20 mins, I mean what other shop cares about loyalty this much? Art of Maintenance is by far the best in town. Won’t go anywhere else!
Was passing thru town and they took great care of me in a pinch! Nice early hours.
